Punch Cards Part 2 One-Day Workshop
We are continuing with punch cards in July!
In our last workshop we set up our knitting machines to read punch cards. There are many pre-punched patterns available for purchase but you can also design and punch your own card. These cards enable you to create knitted fabrics such as Fair Isle, and Tuck Stitch, which we worked on in our last workshop. Other punch cards can create Lace, Weaving, Slip Stitch, Motifs, and more.
Our Part 2 Workshop will focus on Thread Lace, and Single Motif patterns. If you missed our first workshop with punch cards, you'll still be able to take this if you've taken the Machine Knitting Introductory Class.
Keep an eye out for a follow up workshop to design your own punch card pattern as well as our other classes and workshops coming up - Intarsia/Picture Knitting, Weaving with the Knitting Machine, and Lace Carriage Knitting, to name a few! In this One-Day Workshop we'll learn how these Punch Cards work and knit up Thread Lace as well as Single Motif patterns.
